Interactive Water Sculpture

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Eventscape had the privilege of fabricating “Dreamcaster,” an interactive commemorative sculpture by artist Ivan Toth Depeña. The sculpture is located along a newly completed linear park on MLK Drive in Atlanta and fuses technology and art, with the enduring legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.

“Dreamcaster” is crafted from an intricate combination of metal, water, concrete, LED lighting and sophisticated software. Set against the backdrop of a serene reflecting pool, “Dreamcaster” is inspired by the iconic “I have a Dream” speech. Passing by the sculpture activates the LED modules that illuminate the structure and the pool below, casting the “DREAM” in the sky. The lights, integrated along each arc of the sculpture, are not merely decorative elements but serve as an invitation to pause, reflect, and contribute dreams to the collective consciousness.
