Eventscape , a custom architectural fabricator, has an opportunity for an Architectural Estimator to join our sales & estimating team. Eventscape is an award-winning custom architectural fabricator located in West Toronto.

This position will work closely with clients and our front-end sales executives to weigh in on our client’s preliminary conceptual designs from a material, finish, and construction stand point. This position will be required to develop fabrication solutions, create 3D renderings to help illustrate said approaches, and help estimate for the purposes of presenting costing in tandem with fabrication solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess client needs and advise on the manufacturability of their design intent
  • Prepare design concepts, 2D & 3D illustrations, presentation material, and submission documentation

  • Gather quotes and negotiate prices with vendors/suppliers and work closely with accounting, production, and in-house designers to develop accurate cost information
  • Keep informed with progressive building methods, digital fabrication, and the latest materials available on the market

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor of Architecture from a recognized University;
  • 5 years’ experience estimating complex architectural projects
  • The ability to use Revit or Rhino (with grasshopper knowledge) to create digital renderings
  • Working knowledge of Solidworks an asset
  • The insatiable need to continuously learn
  • In-depth knowledge of modern building methods and materials

Your responsibilities include:

Qualifications:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform carpentry functions to build architectural interiors;
  • Collaborate with in-house design team on building methods and to continuously improve the design/build process;
  • Be involved with building mock-ups and prototypes;

EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES:
