We are currently looking for a Computational Designer to assist on a range of architectural features for retail, commercial and mixed-use spaces. The successful incumbent will create designs that consider automation and help streamline our workflow. Parametric programming, fitness testing, scoring, case scenarios, rationalization and optimization are a large part of this role.

We promote open communication and creative brainstorming with our design team on an ongoing basis, making the ability to express ideas both verbally and through sketches paramount. Proficiency with Rhino and Grasshopper software is an important qualification for this position.

A post-secondary education in either Industrial Design, Engineering, Computer Science or Architecture plus 2-5 years of proven Grasshopper experience is required.

The successful incumbent will design submittal drawings and detailed architectural drawings that satisfy the needs of the client’s budget, timeline, and quality standards. Prototyping and material testing is also a large part of this role and our Designers are often relied on to source finishes and/or materials as needed.

Our work involves daily communication with all members of the team, including Project Managers, Fabricators, clients and suppliers, making out of this world communication skills essential to this role. Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or Rhino, especially with sheet metal parts, weldments and drawings is an important qualification for this position.

A post-secondary education in either Industrial Design, Engineering or Architecture plus 3-6 years of experience with custom fabrication is required.

We are looking for a Sales Assistant to join our team. Strong attention to detail and an intuitive understanding of our client’s needs and requirements are crucial to the success of this role. The successful candidate will be able to utilize their sales or marketing background to our teams, ensuring smooth and consistent office operations.

Responsibilities: 

  • Research new markets and opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Create monthly reports for sales team to monitor sales effectiveness.
  • Assist in the development and coordination of sales support tools with marketing.
  • Assist with presentations and developing new methods of sales promotion.
  • Monitor current projects and assist Project Directors with any issues that are preventing a smooth project flow.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure.

Qualifications:

We are currently looking for a Security Watch-Person (Evenings) to join our Maintenance Department.

Hours of Work: 6:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security cameras
  • Patrol company properties to confirm state of buildings, prevent and detect signs of intrusion, and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
  • Maintain security log for all company properties
  • Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
  • Assist with daily general warehouse duties and housekeeping if required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 1 year of security/patrol experience preferred, but not required

We are currently looking for several Fabricators/Carpenters/Assemblers to join our Fabrication Department.

This position will ensure the precise fabrication processing of all of our fabrication related projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform carpentry functions in the building of architectural interiors or retail fixtures
  • Knowing and practicing safe working methods, have a strong knowledge of shop practices, procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, quality control and safety equipment
  • Work closely with project designers with woodwork and be highly involved in the production and installation of any/all millwork-related projects
  • Travel to sites within Canada, in the US or internationally may be requested
  • Other warehouse and/or installation duties/tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant finish carpentry experience
  • A valid driver’s license is an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Experience with CNC router a major asset
  • Carpenter Trade Certification an asset

We are currently looking for an Installer to join our Installation Department.

The successful candidate will perform the installations of customized architectural features, store fixtures/fit outs, custom cabinets and woodwork using a variety of equipment and power tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel locally, nationally, and internationally to assemble and install fabricated fixture components
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Designers, and Client Representatives on project progress
  • Supervise and coordinate onsite installation workers
  • Read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints
  • Measure, fit, and fasten fixtures
  • Heavy use of hand tools and power tools
  • Pack/unpack components into crates ensuring safe delivery and handling of all material

We are currently looking for a CNC Programmer to join our Digital Fabrication Department.

This position will be responsible for programming and occasionally operating either a 3-axis or 5-axis router. This is a great opportunity to be involved with some highly complex and creative architectural mill work.

Responsibilities:

  • Create cut-files for CNC Router using MasterCAM
  • Create, edit, and modify DWG and DXF files using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software if required
  • Set up, operate, and regularly maintain the Company’s CNC machines
  • Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes
  • Read and interpret drawings to comprehend work orders
  • Safely load and unload materials into the machinery
  • Maintain proper specifications, take measurements, detect malfunctions, troubleshoot processes, adjust and reprogram controls, and sharpen/replace worn tools
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; and calling for repairs
  • Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years MasterCAM experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a machine shop
  • At least 1 year of SolidWorks experience
  • Experience in routing for woods and plastics
  • Must be comfortable setting up machining centers
  • Experience with Haas / Mazak machines is an asset

We are currently looking for a CNC Machinist to join our Digital Fabrication Department.

This position will be responsible for production flow, work space arrangement, shop maintenance, and equipment management, particularly but not exclusively, on any CNC Router(s). This is a great opportunity to be involved with some highly complex and creative architectural mill work.

The ideal candidate will possess a fabrication background with extensive experience in building unique feature elements for architectural projects, but successful Project Managers have come from a variety of disciplines. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the project life-cycle by overseeing all elements of design and fabrication
  • Protect the company from over-exposure by understanding the chain of responsibility and liability in a project
  • Create and manage project schedules according to client needs and expectations
  • Ensure production up to installation are in compliance with project deadlines and budget
  • Identify appropriate resources (materials and/or services) needed
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients, architects, designers, in-house staff on a daily basis
  • Site supervision and some travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of project management experience in an architectural and/or construction industry is preferred.

We are currently looking for a Design Developer to assist on a range of architectural features for retail, commercial and mixed-use spaces. The successful incumbent will flush out the details of a design idea, act as a consultant to accurately assess requirements and costs associated with fabrication/installation of complex architectural features.

Being able to work closely and effectively with multiple teams is important to ensure we can develop accurate project details for our clients. Preparing 2D and 3D illustrations, as well as presentation material using Revit, Rhino or any other kind of digital rendering software is an important qualification for this position.

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or equivalent plus 5-8 years of related professional experience in the Architectural profession is required.
