We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our Sales team. Strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills and an intuitive understanding of our client’s needs are crucial to the success of this role. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of administration experience, preferably with a business education.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist sales team with proposals, requests for quotes (RFQs), pre-qualification documents.  Check all information sent to the client for accuracy and completeness.
  • Create monthly reports for sales and marketing teams to monitor sales effectiveness and determine target markets.
  • Continually update database of contacts and estimates.
  • Book sales meetings and site tours when required.
  • Record meeting minutes and preliminary action.
  • Send out marketing brochures and material samples as per requests from Sales Managers, Project Managers and Marketing Department.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of administrative experience.
  • Post-secondary education in a business, marketing or design related field is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with different audiences.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently as needed.

We are currently looking for a CNC Brake Press Operatorto join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating Amada Brake Press, previous Amada experience considered an asset
  • Setup and perform Brake operations to specifications of the work order and fabrication prints and drawings

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of previous working experience operating a Brake Press
  • Experience checking work using micrometers, depth gauges, vernier, layout tools and various hand tools.
  • Can work with fractions expressed in decimal notations and perform calculations.
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, calculate bend deduction allowances, understand different metals and their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Able to follow work order directions and safely produce required quantities efficiently with required tolerance and quality

We are currently looking for a Computational Designer to assist on a range of architectural features for retail, commercial and mixed-use spaces. The successful incumbent will create designs that consider automation and help streamline our workflow. Parametric programming, fitness testing, scoring, case scenarios, rationalization and optimization are a large part of this role.

We promote open communication and creative brainstorming with our design team on an ongoing basis, making the ability to express ideas both verbally and through sketches paramount. Proficiency with Rhino and Grasshopper software is an important qualification for this position.

Prototyping and material testing is also a large part of this role and our Designers are often relied on to source finishes and/or materials as needed.

Our work involves daily communication with all members of the team, including Project Managers, Fabricators, clients and suppliers, making out of this world communication skills essential to this role. Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or Rhino, especially with sheet metal parts, weldments and drawings is an important qualification for this position.

We are currently looking for a CNC Programmer/ Operator to join our Digital Fabrication Department.

This position will be responsible for programming and occasionally operating either a 3-axis or 5-axis router. This is a great opportunity to be involved with some highly complex and creative architectural mill work.

Responsibilities:

  • Create cut-files for CNC Router using MasterCAM
  • Create, edit, and modify DWG and DXF files using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software if required
  • Set up, operate, and regularly maintain the Company’s CNC machines
  • Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes
  • Read and interpret drawings to comprehend work orders
  • Safely load and unload materials into the machinery
  • Maintain proper specifications, take measurements, detect malfunctions, troubleshoot processes, adjust and reprogram controls, and sharpen/replace worn tools
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; and calling for repairs
  • Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years MasterCAM experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a machine shop
  • At least 1 year of SolidWorks experience
  • Experience in routing for woods and plastics
  • Must be comfortable setting up machining centers
  • Experience with Haas / Mazak machines is an asset
  • Ability to read and create shop drawings
  • Organized, punctual, willing to work overtime
  • High attention to detail and ability to work well within a team a must

The ideal candidate will possess a fabrication background with extensive experience in building unique feature elements for architectural projects, but successful Project Managers have come from a variety of disciplines. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the project life-cycle by overseeing all elements of design and fabrication
  • Protect the company from over-exposure by understanding the chain of responsibility and liability in a project
  • Create and manage project schedules according to client needs and expectations
  • Ensure production up to installation are in compliance with project deadlines and budget
  • Identify appropriate resources (materials and/or services) needed
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients, architects, designers, in-house staff on a daily basis
  • Site supervision and some travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of project management experience in an architectural and/or construction industry is preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in Architecture or Engineering is an asset.
  • Practical experience dealing with commercial or industrial contract administration
  • A strong familiarity with architectural and engineering standards and building practices
  • Experience with the following materials/projects an asset: custom metal fabrication (aluminum, steel), millwork/furniture, Corian, fabrics, printed graphics, acrylic, signage, and lighting

We are currently looking for a Metal Finisher to join our Metal Fabrication Team.

This position will be responsible for. This is a great opportunity to be involved with some highly complex and creative architectural mill work

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all process of fabrication including finishing is done to a high standard with high attention to detail;
  • Set up and operate sanding/grinding tools that remove excess material or burrs from surfaces, sharpen/soften edges and corners, or buff/polish metal work pieces;
  • Examine and feel surfaces of metals to detect defects, such as dents, scratches, or breaks in metal;
  • Depending on project requirements, must be able to use creative approaches to solve unexpected conditions;
  • Assist the metal fabrication department with welding, material handling, packaging as required;
  • Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time;
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, good hand to eye coordination;
  • Keep all work areas/machinery clean, organized and safe
  • Use, maintain, and organize tools/equipment used to perform the day to day work;
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations outlined by the government and in the Company’s Health & Safety manual;
  • Ensure all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment is worn when required;
  • Report any workplace hazards to management;
  • Other responsibilities as assigned;

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years Sanding and Grinding experience

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and working drawings;
